Baby Quilt & Burda Top

A present for a baby girl born early this morning and 2 weeks ahead of "schedule". I'm pretty safe in thinking her mummy won't be checking my blog between now and tomorrow when we hopefully meet her since she's in hospital and all. It started as just a quilted playmat but ended up cot size so can double up in her little cot too. I'm thinking of "tieing" it tonight if I get time. Welcome to the world little Layla.

FINALLY I have photos of this top I made from the Sophia pattern from Burda. The day after I made it Isabella wore it... and spilt tomato sauce all down it so no photos. Two washes later to get it all out she wore it again... and spilt pasta sauce all down it so no photos again. Finally it's clean and photographed. It fits so lovely and was super quick to make as it's just cut as one big piece and the two sleeves.

So pretty! I love the fabric on the quilt. I need to photograph so many things, but I have a tendency to forget. A lot. lol

what a cute little top, and I bet it's comfy too. LOVE the floral and I just had a flashback to 1974 at kinder where I had a dress in a remarkably similar fabric!
