Blogtoberfest Day 2: Christmas in October...

Yesterday's trip to the post office left Liam & I coming home with our arms bursting with parcels.

Oilcloth and Patty Young pattern from Crafty Mamas

7 new books (one already gone with hubby to work today) from Book Depository.

Finally our post office delivered a giant box from Ellyn from our swap...

Talk about Ellyn spoiling me! Everything is beautiful, the red she picked to go with our kitchen co-ordinates perfectly and I can't wait to give those Shrinky Dinks a go like the pins in the pincushion she sent. I was expecting ONE sheet, not a whole pack! Did you know Ellyn uses ground up walnut shells in her pincushions?

Close up of the bag.. which I believe is the new pattern Ellyn is bringing out. I love it! The ric-rac on the outer pocket, the keychain, pockets inside. Nice, very very nice. I will have to keep it out of a certain little-Miss-4's hands I think.

Liam got his own bunch of parcels from family and friends for his birthday. He sang himself Happy Birthday to me the whole way home and went to bed clutching the birthday cards.

Tomorrow on Blogtoberfest: My latest knitting adventures.

First off, that pattern is to die for! I need to get off my butt and make my kids more clothes.

Second, that package is delightful! Ground up walnut shells. Brilliant! And that bag. Oh that bag! You seriously hit the jackpot there girl!

Ellyn, if you read this, your bag is fab!
