Fabric is from Ikea and the handles I picked up from Lincraft are a d-shape. The pattern is this freebie from Little Birdie Secret's which was fantastic and so quick to make, 4 Peppa Pig episodes or in non-Mummy speak 20 minutes. I cheated at the last stage though and put the zipper foot on my machine and just sewed the handle in place that way instead of hand stitching.
How is that cheating? Not hand-stitching something you can use your machine for is in no way cheating! I've been following your blog for a while and now I have no idea how I stumbled upon it. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteWe measure time in Thomas-the-tank-engines over here. It sounds like 1 Peppa Pig is rough equivalent to 1 Thomas ... maybe I could get a bag sewn up in just under a DVD!
ReplyDeleteLovely bag by the way. Great idea using the zipper fooot round the handle.
Lisa you little gem. I'm just about to make one of these, since I have some handles sitting there and some gorgeous fabric. You have inspired me!! I love peppa pig! and what a great tutorial too. thanks x
ReplyDeleteHi :) I'm enjoying reading your blog. and welcome again to Crafty mamas
ReplyDeleteExcellent bag! I'm decided. I'm going to use some of my funky Ikea fabric for a bag. I have handles as well. Just need to stick on Charlie and Lola...
ReplyDeletecute! I always cut corners on a pattern! sometimes they find the longest way to make the quickest thing!!!!
ReplyDeletedon't they say a woman can't have too many shoes or bags!
