Craftin'

No comments:
There's not too much time to spare around here with 2 kids plus a newborn, so I've been snatching small pockets of time either embroidering in the car, knitting and crocheting while feeding, or sticking to very quick sewing projects.

Pattern: Baby Binky Bunny pattern from mmmcrafts

Pattern: Moriarty (Ravelry link) for Eva
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran

Pattern: Little Pots by Susie Johns (Ravelry link) for Eva's bath bits and pieces
Yarn: Hayfield Grampian DK

I've also finished a granny square scarf for Bella, but have about 1000 loose ends to weave in... plus finish a Mother's Day present for Mum...

Pattern: Tea Mat and Coasters (Ravelry link)
Yarn: Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece in Barnred and Dusty Sage

Then using the leftover skein of Brown Sheep Barnred plus an extra one I ordered I'll start a Pearls and Diamonds cardigan (Ravelry link) for Eva plus there's a Little V-Stitch Blanket (Ravelry link) I started crocheting for our neighbour earlier in the week....

Evangeline

Taken at 7 days old... today she turns 21 days old, yes 3 weeks. It's already going too fast, but she is such a sweet baby and has fitted into the crazy family perfectly. Showered with love and kisses every day, especially by Mummy when she has one of those nice 5 hour sleeps overnight.

Meeting Jimmy Giggle

3 comments:
If you don't know who Jimmy Giggle is, then

a. you currently don't have a child under the age of 6
b. you may want to skip reading this post... you probably won't "get it"

Anyway, if your still here, Jimmy Giggle came to our local Westfield yesterday, which meant, every child between the age of 2 and 6 within a 100km radius were standing in line with Isabella and Liam to meet him.

Waiting in line (for 2 hours)

"Where's Hoot?"

apparently having an owl nap before the night watch

telling him their favourite shows

new Hoot puppet

one each of course

and totally non-Jimmy Giggle related, the first photo I've managed of all three of my babes...

Zumbo and Calico & Ivy

3 comments:
Enjoying a day just Dean, Evangeline and myself we headed off to Balmain this morning.

First we checked out Adriano Zumbo's little shop

Left to right: Quiche Angela with basil, bocconcini and tomato, Quiche Charlie with chorizo, capsicum and potato.

The quiches were beautiful. According to Dean these are "how a quiche should taste".

Macaroons from top: Coconut Pandan, Sweet Musk, Liquorice and Raspberry, Salted Butter Caramel and an extra Coconut Pandan for our neighbour

From left: Mocha Tart and (I can't remember the name) but it has hazelnuts, caramel, and a whole heap of other yummy ingredients (they didn't survive the trip home very well)

After stocking up on our body weight in goodies, I convinced Dean to take a stroll down the road to the Calico & Ivy shop

Unfortunately we didn't last very long before Eva started stirring and I wanted to get home before she woke for another feed or we would be stuck in Balmain for another hour which would be too close to school pickup if the traffic was bad, so I just grabbed a couple of balls of gorgeous Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran yarn and had a very quick look at the fabrics.. my goodness the fabric is stunning. I will definitely be heading back when I have a project in mind and getting some of their fabric.

Little Nipper

No comments:
Terrible blurry photo of our little Nipper Isabella. She finished up her first season of Nippers in the Under 6 Girls a few weeks ago and on the weekend we had the awards. She got a trophy and certificate for participation and a medal for 100% attendance. Oh and a free fishing magazine which I think she may have been the most excited about...

Teeny Tiny Shoes

4 comments:

0-3 month old socks are ginormous on little Evangeline, so while I wait for her little feet to catch up a little I pulled out the Double Strap Booties crochet pattern I have and made these a couple of nights ago while waiting for her to wake for a feed.

She wore them to her first play date yesterday with our neighbor little Frankie who was born a week before Eva. Her Mummy calls them "Belly Buddies".. too cute. I'm working on a pair now in black and red for little Frankie.

Couple of "made by Mummy" in action shots...

Bring it on Baby Blanket finished and blogged last year

Appliqued t-shirt blogged here

Now I'm off to google ideas for Easter Bonnets for Isabella's school parade on Friday. Why do they give you less than a weeks notice?
